In he last few weeks I’ve done three Rocky Stories presentations, and one was more fun than the next.

On Nov. 18, Tom Gralish and I presented a slide show and talk to all 750 students at Haddonfield Memorial High School. Our message was “Follow Your Dreams — and when life knocks you down, which it will many times, get back up! We showed our slides and told our stories of people we met at the steps, and we received so many wonderful compliments from the students and staff. Go Dawgs!

I followed that with an appearance at St David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne on Saturday, Dec. 13. Here’s what one parishoner wrote me:  ”Hi Mike … really enjoyed your talk about the adventure of making your book, the stories in it, and why you like to write; if I may paraphrase: to reveal the human - heartfelt- stories of real people. Hearing those stories– running the steps and jumping, “a-la-Rocky-stlye, ” — validated, for me, the goodness in the human spirit. There is love, hope, and happiness in humanity, thank you…”

And on Tuesday, I did a slide show and talk at the Jingle Jam, invited by the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Professional Convention  Management Association. Here’s what Erica Keagy, the chapter administrator, had to say:  ”I thought it was a great presentation …Thanks so much!
Erica
P.S. Over the holiday break, I am going to take my kids to run the steps.”

Have a great holiday all!
